Hamas: `The US money and arms will come to us'

Not a surprise, but various Hamas leaders simply stated the obvious when they told reporters from World Net Daily that a nice chunk of the proposed $86.4 million in aid the United States pledged last week for President Mahmoud Abbas and Fatah will end up in Hamas hands and ultimately be used against Israel.

Not only that, but one of the capos of Hamas' Popular Resistance Committee said that they're already planning attacks against Israel using those shiny new weapons the US shipped to Abbas and Israel allowed through - just like those M-16s Israel gave Arafat to help `keep order' were turned against the Israel's civilians last time.

Abu Ubaida, a spokesman for Hamas military wing told WND that Hamas will obtain any weapons transferred to Fatah militias or purchased by Fatah using the incoming US aid.

"I am sure that like in the past, this USD 86 million from America will find its way to the Hamas resistance via the honorable persons in the Fatah security organizations, including in Force 17. I can confirm 100 percent that this money and purchased weapons will find its way to Hamas," said Abu Ubaida.

Muhammad Abdel-Al, a spokesman for the Popular Resistance Committees, said his group would obtain weapons and aid given to Fatah.

"We vow to show the Israelis very soon the weapons lately channeled to the Presidential Guards (Force 17) and to the Fatah security services will be directed against the (Israeli) occupation," said Abdel-Al

"In all the security services, including in Force 17, there are activists affiliated with all the Palestinian groups, including ours, and Hamas," he said. "We vow that there will be no use (of these arms) in a civil war, as we promise that should these arms reach us, we will use them against the occupation and the Zionist enemy."

Actually, the weapons will be used against Israel regardless of who's hand is on the trigger.

Most of the new weapons are destined for none other than Force 17, Arafat's old bodyguard and now the property of Fatah's Mahmoud Abbas. They were implicated in any number of assaults and terrorism on Israelis the beginning of Arafat's War in 2001.

And any number of them belong to Fatah factions like the al Aksa Martyr's Brigade...a group considered terrorists by both Israel and the US State Department who still draw a paycheck from Abbas and Fatah.

For example, Abu Yousuf, a senior member of Fatah's Force 17, said,"These weapons will be used to fight Israeli occupation forces, especially to defend against Zionist aggression in the Gaza Strip." said Abu Yousuf.

Yousef is also a member of al Aksa. Just like the commander of Force 17 Abbas appointed last June, Mahmoud Damra, who is a senior al-Aqsa Martyrs Brigades leader.

In essence, the Bush Administration is arming a terrorist faction and aiding a terrorist government in direct violation of US law and the so-called `Bush Doctrine'.

And what's even worse is that the Olmert government is being totally complicit in it.
